Frequently asked questions

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know about renting office furniture with us — from how long it takes to arrive, to what happens at the end of your term.

How does office furniture rental actually work?

You choose the furniture you need, pick a rental term (12, 24 or 36 months), and we deliver, assemble and install it at your office. You pay a fixed monthly amount that includes VAT and covers fair wear-and-tear maintenance.
No upfront capital, no large purchase, no depreciation to worry about — and at the end of the term you can buy the furniture, return it, or renew.

Who can rent — companies only, or individuals too?

Both. We work with established businesses, startups, and individuals working from home. Companies typically apply with audited financials or recent management accounts; individuals apply with payslips, bank statements and an ID copy.

What's the minimum I can rent?

There's no minimum order quantity. We rent everything from a single chair or desk for a home office through to a full floor fit-out with reception, boardroom and breakout zones.

APLICATION & APPROVAL

How long does the application take?

The online application takes about 5 minutes. Our AI-assisted credit assessment provides an indicative decision in seconds, followed by human review. For most applicants a final decision lands within one business day.

What documents will I need?

Companies: CIPC registration certificate, latest audited financials or management accounts, 3 months' bank statements, and a copy of the director's ID.

Individuals: SA ID copy, latest payslip, 3 months' bank statements, and proof of address.

Will renting affect my credit record?

We conduct credit bureau enquiries as part of the assessment, in line with the National Credit Act. As with any credit-related enquiry, this leaves a footprint on your record. Paying your monthly rental on time is reported positively.

PRICING & PAYMENT

Are the prices on the site final, or are there hidden fees?

All prices on the site include VAT. Standard delivery within major metros (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town Port Elizabeth and Durban.) is included. Additional charges may apply for upper floors without lift access, outlying areas, or special-access sites — these are quoted upfront before you sign.

How is payment collected?

Monthly rental is collected by debit order on the 1st of each month, in advance. The first payment is due on or before the delivery date. EFT can be arranged for corporate clients on request.

Will the price go up during my term?

We may adjust the monthly rental once a year by a maximum of CPI plus 2%. You'll always get 30 days' written notice before any increase takes effect.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, 1 months deposit is required.

DELIVERY & SETUP

How quickly can you deliver?

Delivery is stock dependent – delivery can take up to 6 weeks on larger orders or items with custom finishes — we'll always confirm a delivery window when you place the order.

Where do you deliver?

Standard delivery covers all major South African metros — Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. We deliver to outlying areas as well, with an additional transport charge quoted upfront.

Do you assemble the furniture?

Yes. Standard delivery includes transport to the ground floor or nearest accessible area, full assembly, placement, and removal of all packaging. You walk into a ready-to-use office.

DURING YOUR RENTAL

What happens if something breaks?

Fair wear-and-tear repairs are on us — no charge. If something fails through normal use, log a request through the client portal and we'll arrange repair or replacement. Damage caused by misuse, negligence or accident is for the client's account.

Can I add more furniture if my team grows?

Absolutely. You can add to your rental at any time, subject to a quick credit check on the new monthly amount. Additions are easy — sign in to your portal, add the items, and we'll deliver them on a new agreement.

Can I move the furniture to a new office?

Yes, with our written consent. Just let us know the new address before you move so we can update our records and insurance details. If you'd like us to handle the move, we can quote on that too.

Do I need to insure the furniture?

Yes. From the delivery date you're responsible for insuring the furniture at full replacement value, with us noted as an interested party. Most existing office contents policies cover this with a quick update from your broker.

END OF TERM

What happens when my rental ends?

About 60 days before your term ends we'll get in touch with three options: buy the furniture at the agreed buyout price, renew the rental, or hand it back and we'll collect at no charge. Do nothing and the rental rolls over month-to-month.

What if I want to end the rental early?

The rental term is a fixed minimum, so early cancellation does carry a fee. We always recommend choosing a term that fits your runway — and if you're unsure, our team will help you size it correctly.
